Just a fun timeline of my hair since I started college because I’ve gone through a lot of different cuts/colors these past three years <3
First I came to school and bleached my hair then threw some platinum dye on it to try and even out the yellow.
Then I was like “Fuck this!” and did the blue:
And then I thought it would be a great idea to cut my own bangs so not only did I have to deal with a weird fade, but I also had to deal with shitty bangs:
Then I learned HOW to cut bangs and dyed my hair back to brown - pardon the horrifying expression in the first picture:

Then I realized just how much I fucking loved unnatural colors and my friend who had pink hair gave me her blessing to rock the same color:
Then I went back to brown with my blunt bangs for a hot minute:
Then I figured I should use what was left of the pink dye so I decided it’d be cool to do a half and half. It looked really cool whenever I actually let my hair down:
And then I went back to natural colors for a family event and while I was at it, hacked all my hair off:
Then I, for some reason, thought I could find a better dye than Manic Panic so I switched over to L’Oreal Feria for a red color and it initially came out good:
Then it faded after two washes and I decided I was done with straight hair - but I have naturally straight hair so I had to buy a shit ton of products to make it wavy:
Then I went home and, against all my friends wishes, got a perm. I actually really loved my perm and it lasted about 6 or 7 months. I firmly believe I would still have waves in my hair if I didn’t dye it so much…
Then I decided to be a risk-taker and try red again, this time with Manic Panic. Vampire Red is now my all time favorite hair color on me.
But it’s a bitch and a half to get out… This was my hair after a bleach and two dyes:
Then I did my cotton candy hair, which has been fun but the colors were bleeding together and fading unevenly.
Then I dyed my hair platinum and started to let it growwwww
Now I’ve cut off about 4 1/2 inches and have gone to a salon to get a more natural platinum color. I’m going to be going in stages to deepen my low lights to crimson. I plan on being there by mid august
Then I went back to Manic Panic’s Vampire Red. Since my hair was so light before I dyed it the color came out a lot more magenta and a lot less blood red than expected, but I still love it.
As of 10/14/11 I’m working on fading out the Vampire Red so I can get a more natural color. It’s currently a cupcake pink that fades into blond. I’m kind of in love with it <3
I will expand my timeline as I continue to do other colors. Also I love getting suggestions for colors/styles that I should do… particularly styles because my hair is boring and I usually end up rocking a ponytail or pigtails until I discover a style that’s worth going to a salon for.
